Interested families may call or walk into our Central Office to complete an Interest Card.  An Early Head Start staff member will then call to arrange an appointment to complete a program application with the parent/guardian. Applications for program services are accepted year-round.  Center Based applications must be completed at the center you wish to apply for.

To be eligible for Home Visitation Services you must meet the income guidelines, be a pregnant woman or have an infant 0-12 months of age or an infant 0-18 months with a certified disability.

To be eligible for Center Based Services you must meet the income guidelines, have an infant or toddler between the ages of 6 weeks to 30 months (services continue to the age of 3 years), and be working full-time, enrolled in school full-time or be a part-time combination of the two*.

One document under each category is needed in order for an application to be considered complete:

  • Birth Verification
    • Birth Certificate
    • Hospital Records
    • Federal or State Records (Driver’s License, ID Card)
    • Passport/I-94
  • Income Verification
    • Previous year Income Tax Form -1040
    • W-2
    • Cal WORKs TANF
    • SSI Benefits
    • Pay Stubs (the last 12 months)
    • Social Security, State Disability, and/or Unemployment Benefits

*Upon acceptance into one of the centers, work and/or school verification from the employer and/or school will be necessary for the child to be enrolled.
