Food Services established operations in 1965 by serving lunches to Head Start children and later with the National Meals on Wheels Program in 1972.  In those days meals were prepared in satellite kitchens within the City of Fresno. The vision of constructing a central kitchen was realized, and in October of 1985, the state-of-art Food Preparation Center was opened.  Food Services served 2,000 meals a day when it opened to over 6,000 meals daily today.

Mission of Fresno EOC’s Food Services: To provide nutritious, well-balanced, attractive meals using the freshest and most wholesome foods delivered in the safest, most economical, and efficient manner to the elderly, low income, and other customers with a need.
