The Maternal/Child Health
& Disabilities Specialist will be responsible for Health &
Disability areas within the Child
Development Center.
Job duties include: maintaining positive staff relationships, working
effectively with children and parents, developing and implementing age
appropriate health services and education for families and children, and
tracking of health and disabilities data.

Requirements:
|
Bachelors Degree in an
allied health field required such as; Preventive Medicine Health Science,
Health Education, or Public Health. Minimum 2 years experience in a health
related field such as health education or public health. Working knowledge
of pre-natal infant/toddler health care, which includes preventive, early
intervention and health maintenance practices. Working knowledge of IDEA
Part C regulations regarding children with disabilities. Able to assist and
train staff on a regular basis. Able to communicate (verbally and written)
in English (other language as appropriate) with staff, children and
families. Must have valid California Driver’s License and automobile
with adequate insurance. Physical examination and TB screening are required
after employment. Infant/Child CPR/First Aid required per State Licensing
regulations. Fingerprinting required and must clear as a condition of
employment. Former Early Head Start/Head Start parents preferred.
