Description:

Assist in the storage and distribution of merchandise. Set up and wash various food service equipment. Wash (indoors and outdoors) insulated food service containers using a variety of cleaning solutions. Clean and sanitize work areas and premises, including restrooms, employee lounge, inside and outside production areas. Wash, sanitize and put away pots and pans. Assist in the dish up and assembly of food trays and bulk meals. Assist in food preparation. Collect and dispose of trash in accordance with established procedures. Staff assigned to driving will perform pre-trips vehicle inspection as required. Report damage or defects and maintain cleanliness of vehicle. Staff assigned to driving will follow assigned schedules and routes and operate two-way radio. Staff assigned to driving will maintain logs and check sheets as necessary. Staff assigned to driving must drive safely and follow the vehicle code at all times. Staff assigned to driving must be courteous at all times, conduct himself/herself in a professional manner and conform to the dress code.

Requirements:

Have experience in food production work and/or ability to learn food service procedures. Must be able to control and safely operate equipment. Physically able to operate dishwashing machine, mop, clean, and properly lift/load/unload containers weighing up to 50 pounds. Must wear hair restraint, protective shoes, and adhere to public health codes and kitchen rules and regulations. Drivers must be skilled in the operation of delivery vehicles up to 2 1/2 tons capacity. Drivers must have a minimum of three years recent, continuous experience in the safe operation of a motor vehicle as evidenced by the current Department of Motor Vehicle driver record. Drivers must have the ability to read, write, converse and perform mathematical calculations at a level required by the job including the ability to read maps, manuals, and written instructions; ability to complete logs, vehicle condition and accident reports; ability to communicate effectively with program staff and customers. Drivers must have a valid California Driver's License. Drivers must have an acceptable current Department of Motor Vehicles driver record. Drivers must be minimum 21 years of age. Must obtain TB test.
