Description:

Assist
the Head Start Nurse in the provision of health care and education to
children and families. Record health
histories, monitor height and weight, assist with vision and hearing
screening, transport children to health providers, make home visits as
necessary to review health needs, and observe classroom and playground
activity for safety and illness or injury concerns. This position provides basic first aid in
the absence of the nurse, interprets as needed, works collaboratively with
other Head Start staff and programs, assures proper documentation for files
and records, maintains health supplies at assigned centers, and performs
other duties as assigned.
