The
California Gang Reduction, Intervention, and Prevention (CalGRIP) Program Manager
is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of
the CalGRIP Program. Responsibilities include direct and indirect
supervision of support personnel. Provide
Assistant LCC Director with program evaluation data to meet all grant and
contract requirements and performance goals. Prepare and submit a weekly
progress report of all CalGRIP activities.
Screen,
interview, orient, enroll, and train participants for program and ensure
eligibility. Manage participant enrollment, attendance, timesheets,
termination, discipline, and placement records and reporting. Evaluate
participants job training schedules to ensure program compliance. Review case files monthly to ensure
contract compliance in record keeping. Ensure the completion and submission
of required reports to granting agencies on a timely basis. Assist with
site visits with funding source staff and responds to audit findings, as
required. Take an active role in the preparation of applications to re-fund
existing programs and solicit funding for new programs. Assist with
purchasing of budgeted equipment, supplies, and materials, as needed.
Ensure participant data entry is completed and submitted on a timely basis
into web-based management information system (MIS). Other duties as
assigned.

Requirements:
|
Bachelor’s degree preferred
in Criminology or a combination of education and experience can be
substituted on a year for year basis. One year experience in managing job
training programs and/or administration of grants required. Recent management
experience with Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs preferred. Two to
three years experience supervising staff.
Excellent oral and written
communication skills. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Point, Internet, etc. to generate various
forms and reports. Experience in Job Training Application (JTA) preferred.
CA Drivers License, reliable transportation, adequate insurance, and good
driving record required. Flexible hours-evenings and weekends, as needed. A
criminal history background check and National Sex Offender Public Registry
Check clearance.
