National Safe Place Week is March 17-23, 2019

Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Support Services in partnership with National Safe Place Network, will host several community events (during the designated week) to recognize local businesses, community organizations, youth service agencies, and volunteers that are part of the Safe Place program and work for the safety and well-being of at-risk youth.

Saturday, March 9 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
You Matter Day at Chukchansi Park

1800 Tulare St, Fresno, CA 93721
Youth will participate in a service project and participate in a fun-filled day of music, food, and hands on activities to make a difference in the community. Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Support Services will have a resource table at the event to increase awareness among youth participants.

Jack Urban Eats Fundraiser

Dine and donate in support of the EOC Sanctuary and Support Services fundraiser with Jack Urban Eats. Bring a copy of the flyer or a picture on your phone of the flyer and 20% of sales from 4-8pm. will benefit the Sanctuary programs.

Safe Place Orientation

Sanctuary and Support Services, 2336 Calaveras St.
Attend a Safe Place Site Orientation to learn how your business or organization can become a designated Safe Place for any youth in crisis and in need of immediate help. Topics covered include: requirements in becoming a Safe Place, understanding the level of commitment as a partner, learning the site procedures, and learning how the Safe Place program works.

Announcement of Food Express Bus Art Contest Winners and Dedication as Mobile Safe Place

Nielsen Conference Center, 3110 W Nielsen Ave
Youth winners of the Food Express Bus Art Contest will be announced at a press conference. The chosen artwork will appear on the outside of the bus displaying a super hero-theme around nutrition. The Food Express Bus will be dedicated as a mobile Safe Place, and a tour of the inside of the bus will immediately follow the dedication.

Safe Place Partner Recognition Breakfast

This annual event will provide partners only with program information related to outcomes and achievements. The event will honor partners who represent exemplary community partnerships.

March 25-29 – Casa de Tamales Fundraiser
609 E. Olive, Fresno
Casa de Tamales customers will be able to use a newly developed app to order a special tamale plate dinner special. Proceeds go to Santuary programs.
