Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Support Services is partnering with National Runaway Safeline to host several events during the month of November to “Shine a Light” on issues runaway and homeless youth in crisis face every day and the resources available to support youth.

Thursday, November 7
Safe Place Dedication & ArtHop Event
5:00 – 8:00 PM at Fresno EOC LGBTQ+ Resource Center (1250 Fulton Street, Fresno)
We will dedicate our new LGBTQ+ Resource Center as a Safe Place site and invite the community to help us paint a giant canvas that will brighten the space of the newly painted Drop-In Center.


Friday, November 1 • Green Light Project
Throughout November, Sanctuary Youth Shelter, Sanctuary Drop-In Center & Sanctuary Transitional Shelter will display green lights in support of providing a safe place to run away and homeless youth. The Green Light Project is a public awareness campaign for National Runaway Prevention Month spearheaded by National Runaway Safeline.

Coordinate a ‘wear green’ day with your friends, coworkers, students, and/or classmates. Take a photo of your group wearing green and post it to social media with the hashtag #NRPM2019.

Saturday, November 16 • Central Valley Affiliate of the California of School Psychologists
5:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Pardinis (2257 W Shaw Ave, Fresno)
The Board for the Central Valley Affiliate of the California Association of School Psychologists (CVA-CASP) is sponsoring a fundraiser dinner at Pardini’s in November to raise funds for a School Psychology Student Scholarship Fund and for Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Support Services. Join us for an open house and tour of our Sanctuary Youth Shelter.

Thursday, November 21 • House Party and Thanksgiving Dinner
3:00 p.m –  6:00 p.m. at Sanctuary Transitional Shelter (1046 T Street, Fresno)
Celebration of youth and young adults that have transitioned from Sanctuary Youth and Transitional Shelters into permanent housing. A delicious meal will be provided to clients to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner.
