Bank of America generously donated 46,000 masks to Fresno EOC. These masks were able to help families in rural areas and farmworkers hit hard during the pandemic.

As a business partner in the community, Bank of America is doing its part to help protect our most vulnerable members during these unprecedented times,” said Mark Riley, Fresno/Visalia Market President, Bank of America. “Partnerships like ours with the Fresno EOC helps protect essential workers like agriculture workers and farmers who are disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus. The masks we donated also helps safeguard the critical supply chain that feeds much of our nation.”
Fresno EOC is among six local organizations Bank of America donated PPE to. With COVID-19 highlighting many economic and racial inequalities, these masks were a much-needed addition to our rural Fresno EOC Food Distributions in communities such as Del Rey, Parlier, Orange Cove, and Cantua Creek. Fresno EOC also distributed these masks at a COVID-19 testing event, in partnership with Healthy Harvest.
“Farmworkers are essential workers, putting fresh food on our tables. Unfortunately, quality masks and other protective items remain a huge need in our agricultural communities,” said Misty Gattie-Blanco, Sanctuary Director for the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission. “Thanks to Bank of America’s generous donation of masks, we will be able to help hardworking families stay safe by distributing these along with food and other necessities to our rural communities.”
