Head Start 0 to 5 to Hold Grand Openings at Two New Sites

Fresno EOC Head Start 0 to 5 is excited to launch two brand new sites for the upcoming school year! These openings have created new jobs and opportunities for children and families. Grand opening events will take place the second week in August.The Richard Keyes Head Start site is located at 1620 W. Fairmont Avenue near Shaw and West in Fresno. Fresno EOC Head Start hired 16 staff members to help serve 80 preschool children at this site. And 25 miles south in Parlier, the La Colonia Head Start site is opening at 13660 E. Manning Avenue, and ten staff members are ready to welcome 60 children.The strength of Head Start’s approach has been its dual focus on offering comprehensive services that support both children and their families. The program aims to improve child development in the long term through early care and education, health and nutrition services, social supports for children, and leadership services for parents.All Fresno EOC Head Start 0 to 5 classes will begin Monday, August 15, 2022.
