On Friday, May 3, Fresno EOC Health Services hosted its 10th Annual Clinic Day, bringing the community together at their Calaveras Street location in Downtown Fresno. The free event offered a positive atmosphere with food, music, and, most importantly, health education.
One of the highlights was the free dental screenings for children, where they learned the importance of proper brushing techniques. Both parents and children appreciated this interactive approach to promoting dental health.
In addition to dental care, attendees had the opportunity to explore various Fresno EOC programs, such as Women, Infants & Children (WIC), Head Start 0 to 5, and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). These programs are essential resources for many families, providing support and education to improve their quality of life.
The spirit of togetherness was further strengthened by a generous food distribution, featuring bags of fruits, vegetables, and dry goods donated by the Central California Food Bank, Food Maxx Store 403.
This initiative ensured that families not only learned about health but also went home with nutritious food to support their well-being.
Clinic Day was a wonderful celebration of community, health, and shared resources, highlighting the importance of coming together to support one another. This event was a true example of one of the agencies focuses on health and wellness, helping people understand the importance of living healthy lives.
