The West Fresno Family Resource Center launched the event more than 20 years ago and it was well-attended each October. It is now a collaborative effort of local non-profits, faith institutions, and the City of Fresno, including the Southwest Policing District. Yolanda Randles, Executive Director of the West Fresno Family Resource Center, says it just made sense to partner with neighboring organizations. “One of the great things about working in this community is when we pool our strength and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome even more people, especially those in deep distress, and perhaps help them for a few hours enjoy time with their families.”
Come join the festivities. It will be a scream! But don’t worry, organizers promise more fun than fright for your little ones.
How to be Involved
This event is conjured up with a bit of hocus pocus and help from the community. LCC invites everyone to attend, have a table, donate, or partner on this year’s “Safe Night Out Halloween.” The following are opportunities for individuals and/or organizations to support the festivities:
- Have a table at the event
- Sponsor a game at your information table
- Donate assorted, individually-wrapped candy
- Decorate a vehicle and participate in the Trunk-or-Treat
- Donate money to aid in the purchase of food and/or decorations for the event
- Donate a new child-size Halloween costume
If you are interested in any of the opportunities listed above or have questions, please call Tracy Pierce at (559) 264-1048 or email Tracy.Pierce@fresnoeoc.org by Friday, October 21, 2022.
