Congratulations to Joe Martinez!

Fresno EOC Safe Place just wrapped up another successful National Safe Place Week, and Fresno EOC received some special news during National Safe Place Week. The National Safe Place Network based out of Louisville, KY informed us that our very own Joe Martinez, Fresno EOC Safe Place coordinator, was declared the longest serving Safe Place coordinator in the nation! He is the longest serving coordinator throughout the Safe Place program which operates in 37 states and more than 1,400 communities throughout the United States, including Fresno.

The National Safe Place Network issued a statement about the successful career of Joe Martinez, “Joe Martinez is the longest-serving Safe Place Coordinator in the country. Over the past 18 years, Joe has remained committed to the great work carried out by Fresno EOC Sanctuary and Youth Services and their Safe Place program in Fresno. Joe has also assisted Safe Place at the national level, previously serving as a member of the National Safe Place Network (NSPN) Advisory Board. We’re grateful for Joe’s dedication to Safe Place and his unending commitment to provide safety and support for all youth in crisis.”

What a way to represent Fresno EOC and our local Safe Place program. Congrats Joe! Joe Martinez Fresno EOC Safe Place CoordinatorJoe Martinez Safe Place Coordinator
