Anyone who has lived through a summer in the Central Valley knows fans and air conditioners are essential in coping with temperatures of 100 degrees and higher! Fresno EOC Energy Services Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) can help households with energy costs, and now they are making it even easier with a new location to find assistance or drop off your application.
LIHEAP will soon have new office space in northwest Fresno. They will be housed in a 33,000 square foot building at 3170 West Shaw Avenue with other community partners in collaboration with the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board.
LIHEAP provides eligible low-income households in Fresno County with one-time financial assistance for heating and cooling bills per calendar year. In 2021, the program helped 9,715 households in Fresno County with $4,407,886 toward their electric, gas, and propane bills.
Clients who visit the new office space will also be able to access services ranging from employment to social services through other community agencies. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for August 17.

Fresno EOC Energy Services provides financial assistance for heating and cooling bills through LIHEAP and water utility bills through LIHWAP. Energy Services also assists eligible households with no cost energy efficiency improvements when certain conditions are met.
