SAFE PLACE PROGRAM

Safe Place program provides individuals, 24 years of age or younger, access to immediate help and safety through a network of community Safe Place sites that open their doors to at-risk youth. Find a Safe Place now.

Safe Place is a youth outreach program that connects businesses and volunteers to provide help and safety to youth facing abuse, neglect, bullying, serious family struggles, homelessness, and more. The goal of Safe Place is to offer immediate help to any youth in crisis. As youth enter a designated Safe Place location and ask for help, trained volunteers connect them to appropriate assistance.

SANCTUARY OUTREACH SERVICES

As part of the Fresno Madera Continuum of Care (FMCoC), Fresno EOC has a designated outreach team that provides street-based services and mobile access sites to young adults, chronically homeless adults, and families experiencing homelessness.

SANCTUARY TRANSITIONAL SHELTER

Sanctuary Transitional Shelter operates an emergency shelter for young adults (ages 18-24 years old) and families who are experiencing homeless or are at-risk of homelessness.

Services include:

• Shelter Services for 30 days (can be extended twice on a case-by-case basis)
• Three meals a day plus snacks
• Basic needs, including hygiene and emergency clothing
• Housing support
• Case Management and Counseling
• Employment and education support
• ILP and Health and Safety Classes​

SANCTUARY BRIDGE HOUSING

Bridge Housing is reserved for individuals and families that have an identified housing plan who are between 18-24 years of age.  The goal is to give individuals and families a safe and accessible place to wait until the housing opportunity they have been matched to or identified is available.

While in bridge housing:

• Clients will receive case management
• Access to supportive services identified through their case plan
• Employment and educational assistance services
• Referrals to mainstream services

SANCTUARY PERMANENT HOUSING

Fresno EOC operates multiple projects that assist individuals and families access and obtain permanent housing and supportive services to remain stably housed.

Project Spark, in partnership with the County of Fresno, operates rapid rehousing for young adults, ages 18-24 years old and their families obtain and maintain housing throughout Fresno County.

Through funding from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), additional projects assist chronically homeless individuals and/or families obtain and maintain housing through scattered sites in Fresno and Madera Counties.

Housing Navigation and Housing Tenancy

Housing support is available to eligible Medi-Cal members through Housing Navigation and Housing Tenancy services, providing guidance, resources, and assistance throughout the process of finding, securing, and transitioning into stable housing.

Must meet one or more of the following:

• Medi-Cal eligible
• Homeless, at risk of homelessness, or housing instability
• One or more serious chronic conditions or behavioral health issues

This service is provided in partnership with Fresno EOC Health Services.
