Egg in a Nest
Egg in a Nest is tasty, easy recipe for kids to help with! Use your WIC eggs and whole wheat bread purchases to make it!

INGREDIENTS:
cooking spray
1 slice whole wheat bread
1 teaspoon butter
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Coat a skillet with cooking spray.
Spread butter on both sides of bread.
Cut out a hole in the center using a glass or cookie cutter.
Place bread in a skillet over medium heat.
Crack the egg into the hole.
Cook over medium-low heat until egg begins to bubble.
Flip bread over and cook until egg is completely done.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Did you know? … It is important to completely cook the egg yolk for kids since some eggs may be contaminated with salmonella.
