Now, more than ever, it is important for the LGBTQ+ community to have free access to information, education, and published material. The LGBTQ+ Resource Center at Fresno EOC provides supportive services to enhance the health and well-being of individuals of all ages in the LGBTQ+ community in the Fresno County area.

The center offers access to resources in a safe and inclusive environment, virtual peer support groups, referrals to outside help, advocacy, case management, housing needs assessment, and trauma-informed care and books!

“The Little Queer Library” is located inside Fresno EOC LGBTQ+ Resource Center and provides free access to books for the LGBTQ+ community in Fresno. The library was opened on October 25, 2023, and offers books that are important for education and learning, as well as for representation of the community in stories.

PFLAG purchased books recommended by partner librarians and created a wish list on their website so supporters could purchase books for this library.  The books are color-coded and sectioned just like a traditional library based on a local librarian specialization.

“The Little Queer Library” provides a space for the community to access books that represent them and their experiences.
