The Fresno EOC Workforce Connection Young Adult Program has been a vital service in the community for years. Workforce Connection and Fresno EOC are continuing the work of providing tools to young adults seeking employment opportunities. However, one obstacle that individuals often encounter is limited access to job resource centers, making it difficult for them to find the support they need.

Despite these challenges, the Fresno EOC Workforce Connection Young Adult Program remains steadfast in their commitment to assist young adults in securing meaningful employment. Their hardworking efforts have not gone unnoticed, and on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, they will be joining Workforce Connection at their second location in the East Shaw area.

This expansion is a significant milestone for Workforce Connection, and the inclusion of Fresno EOC’s Workforce Connection Young Adult Program further emphasizes their dedication to serving the community.

Patrick Turner, the Training and Employment Director at Fresno EOC, says he looks forward to this next chapter of collaboration and commitment.

“Fresno EOC is delighted to announce our recent relocation, further solidifying our longstanding partnership with the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board in serving the young adult population,” says Turner.

The new location has been carefully chosen to better cater to the needs of the Fresno East Urban Area, including Fresno Youth residing east of Highway 41 and now extending our services to Clovis.

“While we continue to serve the Southeast communities and Central Fresno, we are excited to expand our youth services into Clovis, reaching a broader demographic. As part of this transition, our esteemed workforce partners will be assuming responsibility for our previous service areas, including South West Fresno. Fresno EOC eagerly anticipates working closely with the partner agencies housed within the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board’s East Fresno AJCC, as we strive to create new pathways that uplift our community youth and provide them with opportunities to overcome poverty,” said Turner.

The day of the opening will also include a job fair. Employers and training providers from all over Fresno County will be in attendance, including Fresno EOC.

“This is a great resource for the community,” said Martha Espinosa with Workforce Connection.

“The new location will look familiar to other locations. People will still receive career services and can utilize our computers, phones, and printers for free. For anyone needing even more assistance, they can enroll in our services and receive one-on-one guidance and training,” says Espinosa.

The event takes place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The address is 1455 E. Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 93710.
