Signed in 2012 and enacted in 2013, SB 1193 requires certain businesses to post hotline numbers and resources for victims. In December, volunteers distributed posters to 52 urgent care centers and massage businesses in the cities of Fresno and Clovis. Items are needed to fill 100 Christmas stockings to be distributed to survivors of human trafficking served by Central Valley Against Human Trafficking program. The Holidays are just around the corner, and while it can be a joyous time for many of us, challenges exist for many of our clients and their families. Laura’s* Safe Place Story

Laura, a victim of human trafficking was 17 years old when Fresno EOC Central Valley Against Human Trafficking first came in contact with her. She had been reported as a frequent runaway and during many of these episodes was recruited and sold by traffickers for commercial sex.
